Description

Trust Based Relational Intervention is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable, hurting children. Because of their histories, children who have experienced adversity, early harm, toxic stress, and/or trauma have changes in their bodies, brains, behaviors, belief systems and biology. During this very brief introduction to TBRI participants will be introduced to the Empowering, Connecting and Correcting Principles along with a look at utilizing the IDEAL (Immediately, Directly, Efficient, Action based, Level) response. Children with histories of harm need caregiving that meets their unique needs. TBRI is an evidence-based practice that meets the needs of the whole child.
